The new country manager for cbm Papua New Guinea, Valachie, visited New Zealand in June for orientation. It was wonderful for the cbm NZ team to host him and hear about plans for cbm Papua New Guinea.
Valachie is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in strategic corporate leadership, financial management, and organisational development. After completing Bachelor’s degree in Business and Master’s degree in Commerce and Economics from the University of Queensland and the University of Papua New Guinea, his career has spanned various sectors locally in Papua New Guinea and internationally, including non-profit organisations.
Valachie has a passion to use his skills to make a meaningful impact in the humanitarian sector and to drive cbm forward with purpose in Papua New Guinea. In the past he has led significant growth and operational improvements. In his new role, Valachie will be involved in guiding the organisation’s strategic direction, enhancing financial resilience, and fostering partnerships to amplify humanitarian efforts, where needed most.
cbm NZ are thrilled to have Valachie onboard to contribute to our mission and to support communities in need through sustainable and impactful initiatives. We look forward to seeing the fruits of his commitment to continuous improvement and his deep understanding of the unique challenges in Papua New Guinea.
